Champlain Peony Company will only consider shipping material that we deem capable of surviving the process in a manner and condition that is acceptable to both you the customer and us. We DO NOT ship potted plant material. Please do not order potted versions of our material for shipment as this is require a back and forth to negotiate a variant and editing of the order. If you do not see a bare root or ship-able option for an item you wish to purchase, please email us or call and discuss your request with an sales associate. The final determination of whether something will be shipped resided with the Senior Horticulturist and Shipping Master. Their answer is final.
Please understand that Champlain Peony Company does not set shipping prices. Shipping costs are determined by the carrier. Unless requested otherwise, we will always choose the least expensive shipping method that gets your purchases to you as quickly as necessary for the health of the plants. It is impossible to know exactly what your shipping costs will be prior to packing and weighing your order. We will do our best to give you an accurate idea when you order. Our website uses an algorithm to place a notional shipping cost onto your order at the time of checkout. In the event the shipping cost is considerably less, we will refund you the difference. If the shipping cost is substantially higher than calculated at check out, we will call you to discuss options. We do not charge for packing materials.
