'AMALIA OLSON' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'amalia olson')
'Amalia Olson' peony was bred in 1956 and named to honor the breeders mother. It is a fully-double, mid-season peony with soft-pink buds that open and age to an elegant white. 'Amalia Olson' is particularly known for beautifully shaped buds and a classic peony scent. The flowers are medium to large sized with excellent productivity. This elegant peony plant is very suitable as a cut-flower peony that will perform well in both cold and warmer climates. 'Amalia Olson' can also be grown in greenhouses. One of the most fragrant cultivars. (Olson/Nelson, 1959). Heirloom.

I got the peonies just in time to plant before temps dropped into the 20s at night, but it was close to the ground freezing.
I ordered late, so I understand, but I was wondering if they were going to arrive before the ground froze.
Stock seemed quality—looking forward to spring
fast service, arrived A++
The peony roots were impressive with multiple pink leads on each. However, it’s only by God’s blessing that I got a 50* day here in Michigan to dig two holes in the ground. I kept e-mailing and asking, “When will those roots arrive?” “Please mail me my roots before the ground freezes,” I never got a response to my inquiries.
