'ASHWAGANDHA' (Withania somnifera)

The 'ashwagandha' comes with 50 organically certified seeds per packet. This plant prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Barely cover the seed and tamp securely, then keep warm, evenly moist and in the light until germination, which takes about 15 days. Pot up into successively larger pots and transplant 2 feet apart. This plant can be grown in a greenhouse or as a houseplant. It cannot tolerate much more than occasional light frost.
