'CALIGULA' German Bearded Iris (Iris germanica x 'caligula')

A floriferous, flamboyant variety that was introduced in France in 1937, this bearded iris is unlike any other you've ever seen. Its bi-color blooms open in mid to late spring on scapes reaching 24" in height. The well-rounded and arched standards are light rose pink with orange-gold highlights, while the falls are the color of red amaranth with a bit of yellow brightening the throat.
