'Catharina Fontijn' is a work horse in cut-flower cultivation. This is a robust, prolific and sturdy peony that out-performs its peers with bushels of shell-pink, fully-double, breath-taking blossoms. Beautifully scented, this cultivar is much sought-after in the wedding and florist trade, not to mention, every gardener's home! Introduced in 1952. 'Catharina Fontijn' is particularly SUSCEPTIBLE TO FUNGUS if in WET AREAS. Keep this one in the drier parts of the garden where water does not puddle or splash and you'll be well rewarded! Best planted in large swathes where space allows. LIMITED QUANTITY.
