'STAR DUST' Amaryllis (Hippeastrum x 'star dust')
White, heavily shaded, dusted, and finely-edged with cherry-red Amaryllis 'Stardust' is a recent introduction. It makes its presence know with its unusual coloring and shading. Large blooms of 6-7" Diameter. Each bulb will produce 2-3 stems that grow to an average of 20-24 inches in height with 4-6 blossoms per stem.
Amaryllis, also known as Knight's Star Lily, is a popular holiday choice for a reason. These plants offer a beautiful display for the Winter Holidays and are a reliable green houseplant. The plant can be grown through the winter and planted into the garden in spring. Lift it and bring back indoors in the fall after the leaves die back and leave the bulb to rest in a cool place for eight weeks. Then pot it up, place in the full sun, and begin watering. You will enjoy a second year of blossoms in 6-10 weeks!
