Very large sized, notched, cerise-red petals with pale edges, open into a loose crown-like bloom above the waxy, dark-green leaves on dark-red stems. Origins unknown but this variety very closely resembles 'Red Sarah Bernhardt'; a Chinese introduction from 1980. Not APS registered, but very worth the garden space...IF you can find it when available!
