Hybridized in 1955 and introduced to the market four years later, 'Constant Wattez' has been a favorite among iris gardeners for more than 65 years! Its ethereal blooms open on 24" stalks from mid to late-spring. The gently ruffled standards are pastel pink with tones of light-yellow, while the lower petals are light yellow-tan with some green radiating from the base. Its tangerine beards add a bit of bright color. Excellent for planting in the middle of a mixed perennial border. Be sure to grow some in your cutting garden because this strong-stemmed cultivar is a wonderful addition to a fresh-cut floral arrangement. Like other German irises, it's deer and rabbit resistant, and perennializes well!
