'MAIDEN'S BLUSH' Early-flowering Lilac (Syringa vulgaris x hyacinthiflora var. 'maiden's blush')

The heavenly-scented blossoms of 'Maiden's Blush' rival all other lilacs. To find this in such a spectacularly robust lilac is a dream. This pink-flowering cultivar was bred in Canada and is hardy to Zone 2, making it one of the most useful of the pink Early-flowering lilacs. 'Maiden's Blush' grows to a manageable 12 feet tall and 10 feet wide making it useful in hedges, lawn edges, and as single specimens with a bit of strategic pruning. Very reliable, easily cultivated in average soils, and deer resistant. 'Maiden's Blush' even brings a bit of color to the fall landscape with its burnished-bronze-burgundy leaf colors.
