'MOUNT BAKER' Early-flowering Lilac (Syringa vulgaris x hyacinthiflora var. 'mount baker')
Couldn't load pickup availability
'Mount Baker' sports profuse, white, fragrant florets on 6" terminal panicles. Named after the snow-covered peaks of Washington State's 'Mt. Baker'. Its lance-shaped, dark-green leaves provide a beautiful back drop to the flowers. This variety blooms 2 weeks earlier than the common lilac species. Once established, it can withstand much drought but prefers moderate amounts of water to grow and look its best. Tolerates many soil types and conditions. Left unchecked, 'Mount Baker' will grow to 15 feet tall and wide making it very useful as a hedging lilac.
