The 'Old Glory’ lilac is a beautiful, fragrant shrub with abundant bluish-purple flowers. It has a nice, rounded growth habit, and is more disease resistant than older varieties of lilac. The large, purple flower panicles will create an attraction worthy of the space it demands. It does well as a background plant in a flower bed, in a shrub border, and even as a lone specimen plant. With its early-spring blooming, 'Old Glory offers some of the first color to a landscape and its fragrance is the very essence of spring. Adaptable to many soil types. Grows 12 feet tall and wide if left on its own.
