'RED BARTLETT' Pear (Pyrus x communis 'red bartlett')

'Red Bartlett' is a more colorful version of the ever popular yellow 'Bartlett' pear. It has the exact same flavor and very desirable attributes as its yellow sister. Some say 'Red Bartlett' has more sugar and is sweeter than 'Bartlett' but you can't prove that by us. They are both sensational! The tree is fast-growing and flowers beautifully in early to mid-spring. All 'Bartlett' pears including the 'Red Bartlett' are excellent eating fresh, cooked, baked, canned, dried, and even pickled! Easily pollinated by any wild pears that happen to be blossoming at the same time, you can be assured of good cropping by pairing with another pear such as 'Moonglow', 'Bosc', or 'd'Anjou'.
