'RED GOLD' Nectarine (Prunus persica x nucipersica 'red gold')

'Red Gold' nectarine produces large, freestone fruit with yellow flesh and blushed red skin. The fruit is like a peach but without the fuzz and can be eaten fresh or preserved. Spring brings a flush of ornamental pink blossoms followed by bright-green foliage. This variety will set a heavy amount of fruit. Late-spring thinning of the fruitlets will produce a higher quality crop of large, delicious fruit, best enjoyed fresh but also very useful in the kitchen.

USDA Zones 5-9. Requires at least 300 chill hours.

Self-pollinating.

Available in 7-gallon pots.
