'WINDWALKER ROYAL RED' Scarlet Sage (Salvia darcyi x microphylla 'windwalker royal red')

Salvia are excellent, easy-to-grow plants for a summer show of intense color. Salvia perform best in full sun. A real heat lover; they respond well to shearing after blooming to prompt fresh foliage and blooms.

'Windwalker Royal Red' prefers moist but well-drained soil. Can be divided every 3 to 5 years in early-spring. After blooming, cut down to basal growth, as new growth will be more appealing. May flop if given too rich soil or excessive shade. Blooms more profusely with regular watering. Dislikes a spot that is damp over the winter.
