Vaccinium corymbosum, commonly known as high bush blueberry, is an upright, deciduous shrub native to eastern North America where it typically grows in moist woods, bogs, swamps and low areas. 'Sweetheart' is known for producing two crops in a season. It will produce an early crop of large, sweet berries in late May or June, and then more berries in August in more temperate areas of its range. Intensely red autumn foliage is attractive in the landscape. Shrub grows 6' tall and 4' wide.
