With its petals arranged carefully, this heavily petaled semi-double Itoh peony has earned its name. 'Yellow Waterlily' is indeed reminiscent of a pond lily floating gracefully upon the water; the perfect way to present this as a cut-flower. The very large, butter-yellow flower is stuffed with petals around an orange center. Each petal as a flame of rosy-orange at its base which pairs nicely with the golden stamen when fully open. The 30" plant itself is sturdy and tidy making the choice easy to include this lovely selection in the perennial border. Foliage turns red in autumn. Mid-season. LIMITED QUANTITY. (Anderson, 1999).
