'Ada Niva' draws viewers in with its unusual color combination for a Japanese-form peony. Early-season blooms are a rich, wine-red burgundy with a central puff of staminodes of the same color forming a perfect dome subtly tipped with gold. Sweetly-scented flowers are large and display the perfect amount of contrast to create interest. 20" stems are disciplined even with heavy blooms, upright, and a solid performer.
