晚霞余辉; Wan Xia Yu Hui; Afterglow of Nightfall.

'Wan Xia Yu Hui' or 'Afterglow of Nightfall' has purple-red, chrysanthemum-form, 8" to 9" fully-double blossoms. Each flower has 8 whorls with the outer 2 or 3 large and toothed. The inner petals are conspicuously smaller making a dense floral display. The yellow stamen and purple pistils are visually significant only in the full-blown flower. Fragrant. Flowers in the mid-season. Trees grow to 7 feet tall, erect and branches stout, vigorous, and floriferous. Tolerant of spring frost. (Japan, before 1909). Heirloom.
