'BELLONA' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'bellona')

An early-blooming, semi-double peony introduced by Joshua Scholten, 'Bellona' is a hot coral-pink sensation. Beautiful perfectly-round buds open to a large-flowered spectacle of rounded guard petals with white flames and a center floral display of crinkled and nested inner petals making a rich and inviting blossom. Its open shape is very reminiscent of an enormous English rose. Each 34" flowering stem has a single six-inch, upward-facing blossom. 'Bellona' is a vigorous grower producing an abundance of stems making this an excellent choice for cut-flower production. EXTREMELY RARE. CALL FOR AVAILABILITY.
