'CAROLINA MOON' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'carolina moon')

An heirloom variety that continues to hold her own amongst more modern hybrids. 'Carolina Moon' is knows for its frilly, chiffon-yellow, bomb center surrounded by snowy-white, large, rounded guard petals. Fully open, the blossom expands to an impressive 7". The stems of 'Carolina Moon' are delicate and this girl will appreciate support during the blooming period. 8" tall and at least as wide. Makes a very good cut flower for early weddings. Early mid-season or earlier if spring is early. (Auten, 1940). Heirloom.

Bare roots are available only in LATE FALL through EARLY SPRING.
