'CELEBRATION' Japanese Tree Peony (Paeonia x suffruticosa 'celebration')
From the grower: The beautiful Tree Peony Suffruticosa (Japan) 'Celebration' (Ba Qian Dai Chun) has candy-pink colored flowers that are double shaped and they are of the rose type. The average flower diameter is 6" to 7" and the flowering time is later than that of most Rockii and Suffruticosa (China) varieties. The adult plants of Suffruticosa (Japan) 'Celebration' (Ba Qian Dai Chun) are 3' to 4' tall. It is remarkable that the leaves are still red when the flowers bloom.
Zone 4-8
Bare roots available in late-fall and winter only. 2-year plants.

It is not Celebration. It is not High Noon, which we requested as a substitute. But I guess we're stuck with it?
Had a prior excellent experience with great plants & process. Reordered again in November as fall is purportedly best planting time. Never got any update re expected delivery so sent an email indicating was glad to receive plants during mild fall otherwise send in Spring. Plants arrived on 1/8/25 - ground was frozen due to recent frigid temps. Had to buy soil & place in pots as temporary measure. Plants dormant on arrival so will not know more about status until April/May.
This tree peony arrived later than expected. The seller kept in contact with me throughout the process. I was surprised to have received the Celebration tree peony just before Christmas. The weather was relatively mild this past December. I bought this for a friend, and she was very happy to receive this peony. The peony did leaf out and is growing well in a sunny area. Very pleased with this purchase. This tree peony is on the small size, but I already suspected it was going to be.
too early to tell
Extremely small size for price of plant
Would like to order others, as the pictures are beautiful, will see how these fair.
