'SANTA FE' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'santa fe')

A lipstick-pink bud gracefully unfolds revealing a saucer-shaped blossom composed of a white central dome surrounded by brilliant pink guard petals. The frilly, lightly pink-tinged dome invites the eye where you may find deeply buried dark-pink streaks. While 'Santa Fe' blossoms are not overly large, they proudly make their presence known on tall stems draped in lush green leaves. 'Santa Fe' peonies are most showy in the mid to late-season, adding an exquisite touch of elegance to the transitional landscape. The combination of white and pink hues and its subtle fragrance creates a harmonious delicate charm.  Grows to 32". Unusual and uncommon. (Auten, 1937).
