'SOUVENIR de MAXIME CORNU' Tree Peony (Paeonia suffruticosa x lutea 'souvenir de maxime cornu')
Frilled, fully-double flowers up to 8" across have light-yellow petals edged in pink and buff. When the flowers first open they appear magenta tinged, but this fades as the flowers age and the orange and red tints intensify. The uplifting scent is reminiscent of sweet-lemon blossoms. Upright and spreading, grows to 5' tall and 3' wide. A magnificent garden specimen and makes an excellent cut flower to float in a bowl. Blooms mid to late-season. Blossoms are nodding rather than upward-facing. Known in its original setting as 'Kinkaku' or 'Golden Pavillion'. We always sell out of this selection. First come, first served. (Henry, 1897).

I will never order again. Was buying a Christmas gift, I think 2 weeks is plenty of time. Over 2 months for a plant 1/2 the size of other companies is not acceptable. Had to order another plant from another supplier and arrive in 10 days, plenty of time for gifting. I would not recommend this company.
We sent photos of a bad plant only to be told how great it was
