'SUNSET FLASH' Itoh Peony (Paeonia x intersectional 'sunset flash')

A SENSATIONAL new Itoh selection. Registered in 2017 and still extremely RARE. 'Sunrise Flash' is a mid-season, single, Itoh. One 6-inch flower per stem with guards emerging copper then evolving to peachy-lavender with maturity. STUNNING. Inner petals are creamy-yellow with red flares and bleeding edges Petals are generally rounded, cupped, with crenelated edges. Pink stigmas and yellow stamens round out this color-wheel of a blossom. Fragrant. Foliage is typical of Itoh, burgundy-green on emergence and maturing to a healthy dark-green. Height to 26 inches with an upright, mounded growth habit. NOT a good cut-flower. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND AND STILL VERY RARE. EXTREMELY LIMITED QUANTITY. Place this where it will not be missed! (Anderson/Swenson, 2017).
