'WHITE CAP' Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'white cap')
'WHITE CAP' Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'white cap')
A truly unique Japanese-style peony. 'White Cap' sports a bright beetroot-red, guard-petal cup surrounding a feathery center of buff-hued petaloids that fade to white as the flowers open wide. One of the most intoxicating of peony fragrances, as well as having one of the sturdiest stems; no staking needed. Winner of the American Peony Society's 1999 Gold Medal and 2009 Award of Landscape Merit. You should not overlook this selection for your garden. Blooms in the mid-season.
Zones 3-8
Bare roots available in FLAT-FALL and WINTER. 3/5-eye.
We do NOT ship potted peonies.

The ‘White Cap’ peony arrived within days of my order (hope early spring planting will be OK as I usually plant peonies in the fall). The peonies were well packed and had lots of eyes, something I’m always delighted to see.
