'DO TELL' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'do tell')
'DO TELL' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'do tell')
A Japanese-style peony, 'Do Tell' performs well in both northern and southern gardens. It is an American Peony Society Gold Medal Selection for very good reason. The large, anemone-shaped flowers possess a vivid contrast of feathery, rose-pink, and white centers against smooth, orchid-pink, outer petals. 'Do Tell' blooms in mid-season on 36" wiry, red stems that easily support the light blossoms. This variety withstands heat better than most if watered during dry spells and planted where it will be lightly shaded during the summer months in the South: full-sun in the North. (Auten, 1946). Heirloom.
