'DUCHESS YANG' 杨妃出浴 Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'yang fei chu yu/duchess yang)

Champlain Peony Company is excited to offer a select few cultivars of stunning herbaceous peonies from China: an ancient home of modern-day peonies! Yang Fei Chu Yu (杨妃出浴) or 'Duchess Yang' is a pure white beauty of exceptional proportions and stunning lotus shape. A rare form in the peony garden and exceptionally difficult to find. Each 7" blossom is stuffed with petals arranged in a nearly perfect swirl. Culture specifics of this peony are still being worked out but we are assured it is very hardy to USDA Zone 3. Unknown fragrance or bloom period. We hope to update our understanding of this beauty before we sell out!
