CELEBRATING 200 YEARS IN PEONY GARDENS ACROSS THE WORLD!
The classic, old-fashioned peony scent really dresses up a garden. 'Edulus Superba' is an heirloom peony that's been prized for two centuries in garden design. Lush, lasting foliage is joined very early in the season by magnificent rich-colored blossoms. It's also a favorite for commercial growing, thanks to the incredible scent and very floriferous nature. This is an easy peony to grow even in heavy clay soils and is rarely bothered by deer. It may need some support to keep the 36" flower stems standing tall when in full bloom.
Peonies have few requirements. Give them a sunny well-drained location, plant 2-4' apart with the eyes no more than 2" below soil level, and apply fertilizer or compost in spring. Peonies take time to establish, often 3 years before they start blooming, but the wait is worth it. Let them grow undisturbed and they will bring joy to you and your loved ones through the decades.
