'FIRE OF ROME' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'fire of rome')

Peony 'Fire of Rome' is a very early herbaceous hybrid with upward-facing, Christmas-red, smooth flower buds that open into single-flower type blossoms filled with a center of cheerful, golden-yellow stamens. The petals of this beauty are pointed lending a star-shaped appearance to the six-inch flowers. An upright, vigorous growth habit, and good stem strength help to make 'Fire of Rome' an excellent cutting selection. An unregistered seedling introduced in 2022 by Joshua Scholten
