Paeonia lactiflora 'Gertrude Allen' joins our late-flowering collection bringing an eye-catching end to the peony season. Two rows of stark-white guard petals form a flat saucer surrounding a center of soft-yellow, frilly staminodes and pink tipped carpels. A beautiful combination set against the dark-green, robust foliage. This compact garden peony needs no support. (Nicholls/Wild & Son,1958).
