Incredibly full, unusually colored blossoms sport streaks of ripe raspberry-red upon crisp-white petals. These Japanese-style peony flowers reach an impressive 7" wide and are sensationally fragrant. As unique as 'Kirin', a mythical Chinese unicorn, 'Kirinmaru' is a treasure in border plantings and for stand-alone focal points. Ornamental foliage boasts a range of colors: new spring growth is rich copper-burgundy, turns to glossy deep-green in summer, and changes to soft-yellow in fall.
