'MARY BRAND' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'mary brand')

'Mary Brand' is an old-fashioned, dark, clear claret-red, peony. It's rose-type, fully-double blossom has a brilliant sheen and is still turning heads after 100 years! Blooms mid-season and makes a great garden display. Exceptional keeping quality as a cut-flower. Only 28" tall with good dark green foliage. Surprisingly scented for a red variety. LIMITED QUANTITY. (Brand, 1907). Heirloom.
