Old Faithful is a double-flowered, red peony most noteworthy for its extremely large flowers mid to late-season. While the flowers open already a bright red, they become even brighter as they mature. They have a very pleasing spicy fragrance letting you know that 'Old Faithful' is present. Not to be forgotten in the perennial border! Extremely effective in mass plantings such as foundations and hedgerows. (Glasscock/Falk, 1964).
