'Pillow Talk' unfurls to a rose-shaped blossom. The enormous flowers are filled with hundreds of pale-pink petals that almost turn completely white towards the center. Big powerful stems and voluminous green leaves complete her characteristics and keep the plant looking good in the garden even after the mid-season blooms have disappeared. The 2 inch buds open to 8 inch flowers making for a startling show. First noted in 1952, this variety was finally registered in 1973 and was awarded a Gold Medal by the American Peony Society in 1994. It has become a peony garden standard selection. An excellent choice for the cutting garden, too. (Klehm, 1968).
