'RED CHARM' Peony (Paeonia lactiflora x 'red charm')
Peony 'Red Charm' is an American Peony Society 1956 Gold Medal-winning beauty with bold, fully-double, scarlet-red blossoms that stand tall on sturdy, 36" green stems. The showy flowers have a powerful rose-like scent and are quite tolerant of heat. These huge, rich-red flowers are made up of a single row of outer guard petals that surrounds an explosion of smaller and heavily ruffled central petals that keep reflexing as the flower opens. This beauty was also the American Peony Society National Exhibitors GRAND CHAMPION in 1951 and again in 1965! This stunning selection can be your garden's 'Grand Champion', too! Do not buy plants from this company. I ordered two tree peonies and did not receive them until December of last year. I threatened not to pay them with my credit card so the plants were sent this spring. One of them is dead and I’ve called them but have not received a return phone call this happened again. I would not buy from them. The customer service is nonexistent.
