'Red Clouds' or 'Tong Yun' is aptly named. This moderately sized tree peony bears a profusion of fully-double, deep rose-purple blossoms in the mid-season. Fragrance and floral display are both 'cloud-like' in the garden. The large blossoms of 'Red Clouds' are packed with petals making a voluptuous focal point in the garden and in your cut-flower arrangements. This selection is difficult to beat for color or flower-form. It's 4'-5' stature also is appealing to gardeners who wish for a tree peony, but have little room to spare.
