'SWEET LEMONADE' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'sweet lemonade')

Five-inch, semi-double to double, pale lemon-yellow blossoms rise high above 'Sweet Lemonade's 26-inch stems. With only one blossom per stem, each is a jewel to see. Soft-yellow, rounded and cupped petals guard the pale center petals; some may show a hint of red picotee edging. When present, the feathery stigma are bright-pink bringing a breathtaking look to the semi-double form. 'Sweet Lemonade' has no fragrance, which we find just fine as the blossoms themselves are mesmerizing. Very early blooming season. (Adelman, 2019).
