绿幕隐玉; Lv Mu Yin Yu; Green Veil Hiding Jade.

An eye-catching tree peony with massive green and white, 8"-10" fully-double blossoms. Globular form flowers are greenish at first and age to nearly white. The outer petals are whorled, slightly larger, stiff, green, and suffused with light-red at the base. The inner petals are stiff, wrinkled, crowded, and curved along with petaloid stamen. This amazing novel variety starts flowering in mid-season and has a more extended flowering period than many tree peonies. An added bonus of 'Lv Mu Yin Yu' comes from the edible petals! Definitely plan where you are intending to place this monster as it will detract from nearly anything else when in blossom. The 5' trees are extremely hardy, disease and deer resistant preferring a bit of protection from intense sun and strong wind. They are known for their floriferous nature with mature specimens producing upwards of a hundred blossoms! Fragrant, edible, and beautiful.
