'VILLA JOVIS' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'villa jovis')

Peony 'Villa Jovis' is an early, mid-season, semi-double, herbaceous hybrid with upward-facing, semi-double, coral-pink blossoms. Smooth flower buds open to a large coral-pink flower with occasional dark-pink stripping and light-pink washed edges. Outer guard petals are frilled and ruffled and create a somewhat cupped flower shape. Seven-inch flowers are borne one per stem. The 26" stems create an upright, vigorous bush of healthy, dark-green foliage of broad pointed leaves. Good as a cut-flower or superb border peony due to its height. First introduced in 2022 by Joshua Scholten.
