'WHITE CAP' Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'white cap')
'WHITE CAP' Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'white cap')
A truly unique Japanese-style peony. 'White Cap' sports a bright beetroot-red, guard-petal cup surrounding a feathery center of buff-hued petaloids that fade to white as the flowers open wide. One of the most intoxicating of peony fragrances, as well as having one of the sturdiest stems; at 32" there is no staking needed! Winner of the American Peony Society's 1999 Gold Medal and 2009 Award of Landscape Merit. You should not overlook this selection for your garden. Blooms in the mid-season. (Winchell, 1956). Heirloom.
Zones 3-8
Bare roots available in FLAT-FALL and WINTER. 3/5-eye.
We do NOT ship potted peonies.

The ‘White Cap’ peony arrived within days of my order (hope early spring planting will be OK as I usually plant peonies in the fall). The peonies were well packed and had lots of eyes, something I’m always delighted to see.
