A 2022 introduction by Joshua Scholten of the Netherlands, 'Aureus' is a soft-colored beauty in the early-season perennial garden. With an abundance of 28" stems, 'Aureus' sports rosebud-shaped buds that open to seven-inch, butter-yellow flowers with a generous wash of apricot and then clear to soft-yellow blooms. The semi-double nature of 'Aureus' gives it a less formal appearance than many early peonies and the color is unmatched. CALL FOR AVAILABILITY. (Scholten, 2022).
