'CAROLINE' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'caroline')

An early mid-season blooming cultivar, 'Caroline' is deep shell-pink with golden central stamen making her flowers appear as large Rosa rugosa. This 'dwarf' selection grows to a compact 20" making it especially useful in smaller gardens and front borders. This flower is considered a single-type flower although older plants will produce blossoms of mostly two or even three full rows of petals. (Unknown).
