Introduced in 2022 by Joshua Scholten, 'Chartago' is an early, double, pale-yellow peony of up-facing, 6-inch flowers with attractive red bleeding edges. 'Chartago' sports 1 or 2 flowers per stem and has a lovely lemon fragrance. The tight, three foot plant has an upright growth habit and strong stems with vigorous, attractive green foliage. Excellent as a cut-flower or a garden specimen.
