'GOLD STRIKE' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'gold strike')

Peony 'Gold Strike' is a mid-season bloomer with semi-double to double, upward-facing flowers. Smooth flower buds open to 5" flowers. The cupped outer guard petals are frilled and ruffled and the inner petals are clustered around golden stamen, lending it a casual English Rose appearance in the landscape. 'Gold Strike' has a very lovely lemony fragrance that perfectly complements its lemon-yellow hue. A vigorous grower with an upright growth habit and healthy green foliage, 'Gold Strike' will quickly grow to take a prized position in your garden. Average height to 26 inches. (Scholten, 2022).
