'GREENLAND' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'greenland')

'Greenland' is a white peony with subtle overtones of green beneath the outer petals when first opening. Fragrant blossoms are very full with large, ruffled, cupped, and crimped inner petals. The outer petals are a bit more broad giving the overall effect a pleasantly substantial look. As the plant ages and matures, the blossoms with become even more fully-double. Husky upright stems to 36″ easily support the early mid-season bloom. Still a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it when you can find it in stock. Sometimes sold as 'Green Viking'.
