'IVORY ESCORT' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'ivory escort')

This fragrant cultivar has flattened, double to fully-double, large blossoms of ivory petals often with streaks of crimson. Yellow stamen are scattered through the blossom giving it a rich depth that makes the observer want to fall right into the center of this lovely plant. 'Ivory Escort' blooms in the mid-season on sturdy 28" stems that produce 1 to 3 buds each. Makes a very impressive cut-flower especially when side-buds are removed. (Klehm, 1998).

Zones 4-8.
