This deep-red, Japanese-type blossom has a center the same shade as the outer petals when first open. As the flower ages, the center staminodes become silver tipped giving an overall shimmering effect. 'Jean Ericksen' is very floriferous and each 38" stem bares numerous side buds extending the blooming period. A mid-season bloomer and vigorous grower with good garden appeal. Mildly fragrant. LIMITED QUANTITY. (Eriksen/Joslin, 1979).
