'Gold Councel Chamber' is a beautiful standout tree peony! An upright, branching, deciduous shrub with dissected, dark-green leaves. Large and showy, spice-scented, fully-double flowers borne from late-spring into early-summer have frilly soft-apricot petals with a pink picotee edge. This is an unusual color in the tree peony world. An improvement to Souvenir de Maxime Cornu to which it is often favorably compared.
