'JOYFUL ROMANTIC' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'joyful romantic')

Early mid-season blooming, 'Joyful Romantic' opens one 5" bloom per stem. Three or four rows of smoothly-rounded guard petals cup the inner, ruffled petals making a pleasing pearl-pink, fully-double blossom. Lavender-shaded flares serve to impart a lavender-pink glow from its depths. Solid peony fragrance. Early foliage emerges green ending in an upright, sturdy, 28-inch plant that does not require support.

Bare root 3/5-eye and field stock are available only in fall and winter.
