Medium to large-sized blooms with magenta-red petals and a sunny-yellow center rest among the handsome foliage of this classic peony. This is a fully-double variety which blooms in early to mid-summer on tall 36" stem. While stems are quite sturdy, if left in the garden extra support may be needed to keep the stems upright. It is often used in the commercial production of cut-flowers. Lightly scented. (Calot, 1867).
